Analytical approach to people by comparison to computers in brief:

First off, let us take the average guy. The average guys emotions are relativly simple to interface with.
Normally, you can't use then for much more than a couple of things,
and they just sit around attempting to look good.
They generaly come in only one type of box,
and they are almost never compliant with any other system(guy)...unless they are funny...but we're not going into that.

Therefore, the average guy is a Macintosh.
In short they seem impressive, but in the end, they never really amount to much.
Unless they wreck the car alot, then they are running Windows.

Now, let us take any girl. An extremely complex system, capable of many emotions, running around
spending resouces everywhere. The can never seem to find faults in their programming, but have no problem
pointing it out to other users of their proprietary software, very, very, very, proprietary.
You would really like to know the correct way to use them, but the operation manual pages cause a
core dump and cause your kernel(brain) to bail out with mysterious errors.

Therefore, the girls are running Unix.
The only good way to interface with them is with the little plastic
swipe/punch cards(they swipe it, you take a hit to the wallet).
Trying to learning the operating sequence require more than a lifetime of lifetimes to understand.
Although it helps if you have good uptime.

And just for the fun of it, we take the Nice Guys. They have as much potential in any of the other
fields as all of the other the other combined. They never seem to use it unless they its required
or needed and they don't throw it in your face unless they know you'll get a good laugh from it too.
They are quick to nice(aid) your process to the top priority and help you get going in the right direction,
but they never seem to mind when you boot into the otherhalf of the computer and choose a different OS.
Whenever you need it, they will there. Always willing to lend a helping hand but never worry about
who gets credit(open source) for getting the job done.

Therefore, the nice guy is running Linux
Always quitely running in the background, helping you out when you need it the most, never boasting though
it knows it could be better, incredibly flexible, and endowned with great potential...
if you would only give it a chance.
(And definitely unrivaled in uptime ;-)
